Summary: Lorcan thinks Neville minds his bookworm urges. He doesn't mind at all.
Notes: So I had one exhausting day at school and decided to write this as a treat. Dedicated to my flist for being awesome! Now this takes place after Lorcan and Neville have dated for a while. ^^ Enjoy!
Lorcan fought it for a long time. He didn’t want to mention it, but it was something he couldn’t ignore for too long. It sat in the back of his mind during work, outings with his friends, and his research took his mind off it for a while. However, those things would only distract him for, so long. Lorcan wanted to go to the bookstore, but he didn’t know how to bring it up to Neville.
Lorcan thought he could push back his bookworm urges, but it didn’t work. He passed by Flourish and Blotts on his way home from work, but didn’t go inside. Lorcan spent most of his money on books, which was part of his essentials, however he slowed his trips down when he started going out with Neville. He didn’t think Neville would enjoy his bookworm tendencies. His past relationships taught him it was better to hide it.
However, he couldn’t hide it one day.
Neville pulled him close after one of the dates. “Is there something on your mind, love? You only look like that when you want something.”
“Um, it’s nothing, really.” Lorcan flushed and snuggled into his chest.
“Lor,” Neville nuzzled his neck.
Lorcan always felt that he couldn’t hold back his thoughts when Neville said his name like that. “I haven’t gone to the bookstore in a while and I really want to go, but I thought you wouldn’t like me buried in a book all the time.”
“You’re so cute when you’re buried in a book. I love watching you read or work because of the look you get on your face.”
“Really?”
“Yes, it’s very cute.”
Lorcan smiled and looked down at their hands again. “Thank you,”
Neville chuckled softly and kissed his cheek. “So sweet. I actually have a present for you that I think you will enjoy.”
“Another present? You’re really spoiling me you know.” Lorcan smiled shyly.
“I love to do it.” Neville reached inside his pocket and pulled out an envelope. “Here you go,”
“Thank you,” Lorcan accepted the envelope and opened it. His eyes grew wide when he pulled out the money note. “N-Nev?”
“Yes love?” Neville smiled.
“This is money!”
“I’m aware of that.” Neville chuckled softly.
“A-Are you sure? I mean, this is a lot.” Lorcan nervously looked up at him.
Neville cupped Lorcan’s cheek, drawing him close for a gentle kiss. Lorcan melted against him with a soft moan. Their lips moved together in a gentle rhythm as their bodies moved closer. Neville’s fingers slid through Lorcan’s hair as Lorcan placed his hands on his chest. Lorcan pulled away with a shy smile as a light flush appeared on his cheeks. Neville caressed his cheek with a soft smile.
“Yes, I’m sure.”
Lorcan looked at the note then turned his gaze back to Neville. “Can I buy books with this?”
Neville chuckled and pulled him into another kiss. He couldn’t help it. Lorcan was just too cute.
Lorcan grinned against his lip. How did I get such a sweet man?

“Hey Lorcan, nice to see you again!” Judy greeted when Lorcan walked to the counter with his arms full of books.
Lorcan looked around his stack with a smile. “Nice to be back!”
Neville continued to surprise him in the most pleasant of ways.
